The Makerspace at Homeroom Education

Activities and Services

Calling all geeks, nerds, techies, and the creatively minded...

Find your tribe in the Makerspace at Homeroom Education. Like building, creating, making, designing, or anything related to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math)? Then the Makersapce is the place to be!

How it works...

Making in the Makerspace is as easy as 1-2-3!

     1. Purchase your 4-Hour Pass or show your Membership card.

     2. Grab the "Daily Build" instructions from the Master Maker or collect the                 materials you want for your own personal project.

     3. Find a work station and have fun creating! The only limit is your                                 imagination.

Can't think of something to create? That's okay, try one of the many build kits for sell at the Makerspace or check out our Tinker Toys and STEAM Library. Or, if you are looking for a program with more structure, sign-up for one of our Makerspace activities like the after school STEAM Lab, Tech Teams, and Workshops.

Not your grandparent's tinker toys...

The Makerspace is bringing tinker toys into the 21st century. While you will still find wooden blocks and Lincoln logs among our tinker toys the majority of our manipulable "toys" require batteries and a good dose of design thinking. We've got everything from Lego and K'nex to programmable robots, Rube Goldberg machines, marble coasters, a gravity wall, and more. While you can't take any of these tinker toys home with you, they are always available to be enjoyed while you visit the Makerspace.

Looking for more?

Enroll in a Workshop to learn a new skill or gain access to some of our high-tech equipment. Also check out our after school STEAM Labs and Tech Teams!

What sparks your curiosity? From no-tech to high-tech we've got you covered!

Whether you are enrolling in a workshop, attending a weekly lab, a member of a Tech Team, or just coming in to explore and build, there is always something new to discover in the Makerspace at Homeroom Education.
